Coronavirus - COVID-19

Touchstone Clients and Families,

In this challenging time, we want to communicate our response and policy adjustments to patient and visitor care.

We will continue to monitor recommendations from the Center for Disease Control and Physical Therapy Organizations regarding provision of physical therapy services.  Your safety and continued good health are our primary concern.

We have instituted the following protocols and guidelines:

  • Patient and Family Screening: All new patients will be screened prior to their first appointment via phone to insure the new client or any family member is not currently displaying COVID-19 or any other illness symptoms, specifically fever, nausea, nasal secretions, cough or shortness of breath.
Existing patients will be screened upon arrival in the same way. Any client who is displaying any symptoms of illness or has family displaying symptoms will be asked to return home and contact their physician.

  • Staff Screening: Any staff reporting or displaying any signs of COVID-19 or other illness symptoms will also be asked to return home and contact their physician.

  • Visitor / Family Attendance: To limit exposure to all and respect social distancing, any visitor or transportation assistant will be asked to wait outside of the clinic in the outdoor waiting area or in the main lobby of the building.

  • Health / Hygiene Protocols: Ongoing reinforcement to staff regarding cleaning protocols, changing of linens, hand washing and disinfectant wiping of all equipment between uses.
