Daniel Bonaroti, PT, MPT

Daniel Bonaroti, MPT has been in the traumatic rehabilitation field for over 20 years. He has directed rehabilitation programs for clients with Spinal Cord Injuries and Amputations in Pennsylvania and Arizona, assisting clients from pediatric to adult and from ventilator dependence to high level running abilities.

Mr Bonaroti trained at world famous rehabilitation programs, including Rancho Los Amigos in California, as well as The Shriner’s Hospital for Children Spinal Cord Injury Research Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Mr Bonaroti has published in the fields of gait rehabilitation, electrical stimulation in rehabilitation, shoulder management and seating in wheelchair users. Mr. Bonaroti has served on the National Spinal Cord Injury Association Board and currently serves in the Disability Ministry of Joni Eareckson-Tada.

Mr Bonaroti is the founder and owner of Touchstone Rehabilitation in Phoenix, Arizona. He resides in Gilbert, Arizona, with his wife Heidi, an Occupational Therapist, and his 2 sons Colter and Ben.

Jackie Garcia, PT, DPT, NCS

Jackie Garcia, PT, DPT, NCS is a bilingual physical therapist that was born and raised in Arizona. She received her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree and completed a neurologic residency at A.T. Still University in Mesa, AZ, in 2020-2021. She is board certified specialist in neurologic physical therapy and is also certified in dry needling, ReWalk training, and PWR! She is very passionate about working with neurologic conditions specifically spinal cord injury and amputations. She loves encouraging her patients and problem solving to help them achieve their goals.

Jackie enjoys volunteering for community events and encouraging people to live healthy lifestyles. When she is not working, she is at CrossFit bright and early, hiking or spending time with her family.

Jackie is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association. She is excited be a part of team that values optimizing movement and positively impacting patient’s lives.

Heidi Bonaroti, OTR/L

Occupational Therapist & Lifestyle Medicine Practitioner.

Heidi Bonaroti is an Occupational Therapist, Master Level Yoga Teacher, and Lifestyle Medicine Practitioner. Her mission is to guide others towards their passion, purpose, and powerful presence in life. Heidi has been in practice as an Occupational Therapist for 27 years specializing in the field of neurology treating adults in acute care, inpatient rehabilitation, skilled nursing, home health, and outpatient with a variety of diagnoses from orthopedic to neurological conditions.

She has also specialized in pediatrics treating children with various developmental disabilities with an emphasis on Autism. More specifically, assisting parents and families on how to help their child improve from the inside out. She founded her own company, “Nepenthe Wellness,” where she guided families on proper nutrition, diet, sensory, gross, and fine motor needs to help the child reach his/her optimal level of function. For over 20 years, Heidi has been a student of yoga and has been teaching for the past ten which allowed her to find healing both for herself and her son Ben who is recovered from Autism.

Heidi has been a guest speaker at conferences worldwide, sharing her family’s story of hope. Here at Touchstone, Heidi specializes in Neurologic and Vocational Rehabilitation, where she assists adults with disabilities to find their way back into the workforce. In addition to individual treatments, she conducts time management and health/wellness groups where clients are guided to effectively manage their time and learn more about taking control of their health and well-being. Heidi and her husband Dan currently own and manage their own Physical Therapy Clinic in Phoenix, Arizona, Touchstone Rehabilitation. They’ve been in practice for 13 years specializing in recovery from neurological trauma in assisting clients back into finding their purpose in life. Heidi currently lives in Gilbert, Arizona, with her husband Dan, their two young adult sons, their golden doodle “Nutmeg” and kitty cat “Nittany.”
